18/05 – 20/08/2023

Meta Krese is one of the most prominent Slovenian artists in the field of photography. Her socially critical and active body of work, as well as her extensive photographic oeuvre, have consolidated and creatively enriched contemporary Slovenian and international photography.

In this exhibition, the artist will place (or take) somewhat personal photographic confessions from the lives of migrants. Where from, where to, when, how and why are just a few basic questions she asks herself when meeting people who have moved from their homeland to a new environment.

The City Art Gallery Ljubljana is one of the central venues for the presentation of exhibition projects in the field of contemporary art. The basic guidelines of the programme policy are tied to certain key segments from the gallery's rich exhibition history, and the content priorities are determined by profiled programme units. The gallery presents solo and group exhibitions from the national and international arena. Some exhibitions highlight elements of classical art, while others focus on current contemporary art production.
