The exhibition Emergency Exit revolves around the burning environmental issues of our time, looking for answers in post-war neo-avant-garde artistic practices and current ecological initiatives. Responding to apparently hopeless situations of social and ecological cataclysms, such initiatives seek ways to survive in a system affected by the collapsed structure of the ecosystem.

The Otolith Group:
Xenogenesis

Artists Umetnice_ki:
Anjalika Sagar & Kodwo Eshun

17/03 – 03/09/2022

Xenogenesis brings together a selection of key works by The Otolith Group, the London-based art collective. This cross-section of works, created between 2011 and 2018, reflects the artists’ ongoing commitment to creating what they call “a science fiction of the present” through the use of images, voices, sounds and performance. Suspended between fiction, poetry, documentary and theory, The Otolith Group’s post-cinematic films, high-definition videos and multiple screen installations address the global crises of the Racial Capitalocene that have shaped contemporary planetary capitalism.

Xenogenesis predstavlja izbor ključnih del v Londonu delujoče dvojice The Otolith Group.

Nika Autor in collaboration with Newsreel Front: If the Forests Could Talk, They Would Dry Up with Sadness

08/03 – 20/06/2022

“Nika Autor shot three short documentaries around the razor-wire gates to create a shameful monument to the shameful times that will, at some point in the future, remind the embarrassed children of the barbarians to carefully remove the rusted razor-wire from the wounded wood and wounded flesh, to apologise profoundly, and to proceed with the reparations.”
Jurij Meden, curator at the Austrian Film Museum in Vienna
