It’s Going to Rain is a group exhibition that focuses on questions of the invisibility of women and queer individuals in the art space and market. Through various artistic practices, it explores the ways in which resistance can be expressed through presence in art, and it addresses themes of representation, identity, and the valuation of work within the art system. The exhibition also reflects on absence – of bodies, money, power – and its impact on the artistic production of women and queer artists, who often remain on the margins of dominant art structures.
Iva Suhadolnik Gregorin: Nothing matters more than entering the water
Solo exhibition
Curated by: Maša Žekš
06/05–31/05/2025
The solo exhibition by Iva Suhadolnik Gregorin features a photographic series that critically – yet above all, from a first-person perspective – explores the deeply felt and increasingly amplified need for a time in which nothing is demanded of her (or of other artists). Through the continuity of her practice and a series of striking (self-portrait) images captured along the coast, the artist focuses on her personal experience of rejecting work and opens a space for reflection on the right to be idle. This time, the narrowed thematic focus is directly tied to the educational system – more precisely, to a master’s programme at an arts academy.
Dino Spahić: To the Floor
Solo exhibition
Curated by: Ema Kobal
06/05–31/05/2025
The zine To the Floor explores the spaces of the local queer community and highlights the importance of nightlife as a refuge for self-expression, connection, and the collective experience of freedom. Through photography, the author documents fragments of his own presence in these spaces and portraits of the people who co-create them. Each photograph is a visual record of moments of intimacy and homeliness – feelings offered by spaces that are sometimes home, other times a club. The zine does not merely document the existence of these communities; it also pays tribute to their members, whose presence creates networks of support and acceptance. To the Floor is a statement that affirms space as a key element of identity and belonging.
The photo series was created under the mentorship of Prof. Peter Rauch at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana.
