@Meeting Point: Prešeren Square
The Director of the Piran Coastal Galleries will present an independent view of the locations we think we are very well familiar with, by walking through some of the key urban and architectural points of the city, which are in some shape or form connected to the creators from Slovenian Istria. The art historical aspect of the walk will be complemented by the director's insights into the management of one of Slovenia's major institutions of modern and contemporary art at a time when the conversation about the task of decentralising the Slovenian cultural landscape is becoming increasingly welcomed.
The walk will end with a glass of local wines.

Neja Tomšič: A garden, somewhat deserted
Solo exhibition
Curated by: Nikolaos Akritidis
@RAVNIKAR, Vošnjakova ulica 4
Guided tour of the exhibition A Garden, Somewhat Deserted with artist Neja Tomšič interweaves stories from the era of botanical expeditions and the rise of exotic gardens, while engaging with the contemporary design of parks and gardens. Neja Tomšič, an exploratory visual artist, storyteller, performer, and ritual creator, combines various media in her work, guided by slow processes and in-depth research. Through material and narrative fragments, thoughtful framing of perspectives, and an interplay of botany and archaeology, she constructs a landscape, which invites visitors into a space of "nature" that delineates socio-political currents and traces of erased and revealed histories.

Karin Vrbek, Lara Žagar, Beti Frim: Unfamiliar Area Neznano področje
@Galerija Alkatraz
Public guided tour with the exhibition curator Lucija Zajc and the artists. The exhibition brings together a selection of artists who have participated in the Unfamiliar Area project. The exhibition explores post-catastrophic landscapes and the feelings that are nested in the state of the current world that is disintegrating before our eyes. The works reveal the spaces between reality and fiction, between the past and the future, and question the boundaries of the known and the unknown, collapse and persistence, through different approaches.

Iva Suhadolnik Gregorin: Being a map
@Space for Art NÓT, Vodnikov trg 5a
Who holds the pen to draw the map? Is there room for error in mapmaking? Can subjectivity bleed into its lines? Can the map of a space become the space itself? The map slowly unfolds and we let it breathe. The map finds its first coordinates in the beginning. In the fleeting panic of creation. In the unpolished force of a musician's debut album. In the first frame of a trilogy. In the electric uncertainty of a first kiss. The map takes shape through the courage to start. So let's start.

It’s Going to Rain is a group exhibition that focuses on questions of the invisibility of women and queer individuals in the art space and market. Through various artistic practices, it explores the ways in which resistance can be expressed through presence in art, and it addresses themes of representation, identity, and the valuation of work within the art system. The exhibition also reflects on absence – of bodies, money, power – and its impact on the artistic production of women and queer artists, who often remain on the margins of dominant art structures.
